There has been a notable increase in the level of protections measures adopted by governments has increased since the credit crunch began, the idea of government is
to tackle their problems in a national basis, seeking to undertake measures to protect trade internally, however, as we look at the subject it may be seen that in many
instances protectionist policies may have only a very short term benefit and international trade and solutions need to be sought. To consider
how and why this is the case we need to look at the concept of trade, as well as how and why it takes place, as well as the problems
that caused and have been caused by the credit crunch so that the issue of trade can be placed into a meaningful context, after that the potential attention of protectionist
