no one will forget. As the buildings crumbled, gasps were heard around the world, and while the tragedy affected everyone, the United States was the nation that was harmed most.
That is because the tragedy took place on its own turf, something no one had ever imagined. All of North America was deeply affected. Canada, which is just across the
border suffered too as it was located just a drive away from the Big Apple. And while the people of Canada were moved a very serious subject emerged from the
rubble which is that in order to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again, individuals in the country would have to be scrutinized. Not only that, but the borders
must be protected and right after the event, the borders were closed. Shortly thereafter security was tightened. While air traffic was not allowed in or out of the nation for
a day or so, and the land and sea borders were scrutinized as well, that was only a temporary condition. Once opened, traffic moved slowly. Border issues loomed large and
nothing would ever be the same again. The border issues that cropped up, along with economic problems, did not make things easy and it should be noted that while the
economy had been challenged, particular issues did also crop up concerning trade between Canada and the United States. While the U.S. and Canada had always enjoyed a prosperous, copasetic relationship,
the events of September 11th would change the landscape under which business is conducted. How could it not? Still, many questions loom large. How has trade between Canada and the
