logical response of a well informed population. This single event can be seen as an example of the way in which fears abound, fears which business have to take notice
of on the way the develop, produce, market and sell products. The difficulty with the perception of the way genetically modified (GM) foods are the very emotive views and
the long term impact the use could have. For the supporters of GM there is a great potential for increased yields and the ability to make foods more reliance
to pests and disease as well as increasing the shelf life. For those against GM crops there are too any unknown factors, they fear that placing GM foods in the
environment may have negative long term effects in the eco system as well as on human life. Although there have been tests undertaken to establish the safety of GM foods
the opposition argue that they are not sufficiently extensive, whole the supporters argue may current food stuffs would not pass the tests that GM crops have been put through.
The consideration can be looked at from a commercial or business perspective, from a government perspective and from a societal perspective. In the case of the Tacos it may been
argued it was a commercial decision that led to the potential use of GM flour in their production, with the sourcing of cost effective supplies and insufficient checking of the
