beautiful and peaceful township for both its inhabitants and visitors. To a traveler from the great cities of Northeastern New Jersey or the great metropolis of New York City,
East Windsor often seems like the ideal escape from urban life or even the perfect place in which to raise children or start a "new life". Indeed, while this
mid-sized town set in south-central New Jerseys Mercer county may be rich with visual luxuries, its population of well over 20,000 is not without their problems, common concerns and anxieties
of both a financial and social nature for their rapidly-growing municipality. Having grown-up in Queens, New York, I originally viewed East Windsor as an almost
desolate farm town when I hesitantly moved there with my parents almost six years ago. Although not much has actually changed significantly, my personal impressions of the actual activities
taking place in East Windsor Township have been drastically altered through first-hand experiences as a resident. I recently attended a town meeting in our municipal complex on June 6th
and while I was not surprised to find that many of the key issues discussed were ones which larger cities might consider to be more trivial, I was shocked by
some of the police chiefs comments and statistics on crime as well as remarks and various comments made in reference to the general decline of our populations socio-economical status as
the months pass by. East Windsors township meetings are held on the first and the third Monday of every month with several exceptions. Our
mayor, Ralph Bradley, was not present at this particular meeting but I was able to infer that he normally is present and apparently is required to be so. The
