York City is a central locale that features perhaps the greatest television in recent years from Seinfeld to Law & Order. It is also rich in history and features many
who lived and worked there. It does seem that New York City is the center of the universe. Of course, to those who live around the world, and to those
in middle America, New York City is just a place to visit. It is a hot spot for tourists but a place few want to really live. And while New
York is central to the tourist industry and important to the people who want to travel there, it is also an important sector in the citys economy. The travel industry
is important to New York City as it is to other affluent urban areas. People go to the "city that never sleeps" to see shows they can see nowhere else
and to experience exotic food and witness an array of people and parks and places that they had never dreamed existed. People have been traveling to New York City as
long as travel has been a pastime. New York City is a magnet for tourists, but of course has been hurt a bit due to 911. At least in that
year, and specifically during September of 2001, the entire city was in disarray and panic. Soon afterwards, people canceled trips. The city was losing money due to the lack of
