the spectators will occur. The stadium owners/operators lack of adequate protection for the spectators (e.g. the presence of Plexiglas screens, for example) could result in a suit against them
by the injured spectator (plaintiff) (Christie, 1996). Malik (plaintiff) could file a tort action against Daniel (Defendant) for pushing him, which resulted in the loss of his two
front teeth. Malik (plaintiff) could also file against the owners/operators of the stadium (defendants), contending that the purpose of the railing is to prevent falls and the railing gave
way to his weight, resulting in the injury. Daniel (plaintiff) could file suit against the concession stand worker (defendant), who gave him regular soda instead of diet soda (negligence),
which resulted in his diabetic coma. When Malik threatens Daniel with a gun, Daniels decision to pull out his concealed weapon and fire is based on self-defense.
While Malik and his wife (plaintiffs) may file suit against Daniel (defendant) for the shooting (a civil tort suit, because a criminal suit is unlikely), they will probably not prevail,
because Malik posed a perceived threat and Daniels action were not intentional or the result of negligence. Scenario 2 Anna (plaintiff) can file suit against the owners/operators of the
Italian restaurant (defendants), because of the presence of glass in her food. The owners/operators of the Italian restaurant are also liable for injuries suffered by those who could
not easily get out of the building because of the doors that were installed at the restaurant. As a result, the woman who was trampled and seriously injured (plaintiff)
