that grants citizens right. Yet in the UK there is no written constitution, it has developed gradually over time. Some have argued that this has been advantageous, allowing the constitution
to be more flexible and develop in line with the needs of society. However, others have argued, that with the constitution existing as only a collection of different customs and
practices, there have been errors and omission that may have been avoided or lessened had there been a process of formalisation through the development of documentation.
If this process was to go ahead then it may also be argued that we may also be able develop the constitution into one that better
service the populace of the country, by looking at element that are included in other constitutions. For the purposes of this paper, as they are so close in meaning and
support each other we will also consider the bill of rights as a component of the overall US constitution. If we look at the constitution in this respect there are
many element missing, such as the right to privacy and the many freedoms granted to the individual in the bill of rights, as well as many of the limitations that
are placed on the state through the constitution. However, if we look at the UK constitution then we can also argue that
the lack of the constitution in writing, which means no addition of alternate countries clauses, may also be advantageous, there are both advantages and disadvantages to looking at the use
