manually. Today graphic artists abound because of the fact that the computer and programs are so readily available for the artist to manipulate. The following paper examines three relatively modern
graphic artists whose work is influential to this writer, based on the fact that they make statements and offer graphic art that is powerful and intense. The artists discussed are
Michael Schwab, Gary Panter, and Art Chandry. Three Graphic Artists The first artist to be examined is Michael Schwab. There is a very powerful simplicity and organic presence to
the work of Schwab, an artist who would be honored if his work inspired others to develop a better world, environmentally. As such his work is not simply art that
seeks to make money or push some irrelevant ideal. In one logo, for Green Museum, he notes, "The greenmuseum.org logo doesnt rely on a specific illustrative style to brand itself.
There are no images of a big tree or an artist at work" (Greenmuseum.org, 2002). He indicates that doing that would be too political and as such his "logo is
designed to be much more primitive and thoughtful. Wind, Earth, Water - Nature" (Greenmuseum.org, 2002). His designs are not, by any means, chaotic or self involved like many artists
and their work. There is almost an antique look to some of his logos, bringing back a simplicity to graphic arts that so often finds itself immersed in complexity and
