time. The first time, I rated the sandpaper a 7 and the second time I rated the sandpaper slightly less, a 6. I decided to try the experiment
a second time, this time rubbing an index finger across the sandpaper for a longer duration (in this case 1 minute), waiting two minutes and rubbing the same index finger
across it again. The second time I tried the experiment, when I increased the duration of time spent feeling the sandpaper, I found that it was much less course
after the two minute break than the first time I conducted the experiment. Experiment #2 I took two cups, one that contained water and sugar mixed and
the other that had just water. I took a sip of the water and swished it around my mouth, without swallowing it. I noted that over the course
of several seconds, the sugar water slowly became less sweet. I then spit out the water and tasted from the cup of fresh water. Initially, the water tasted
bitter, more so than I expected. After a few seconds, the water began to have no taste, neither sweet nor bitter. Experiment #4 I
filled three medium-sized bowls with water, one with very hot water, one with tap water and one with cold water. These bowls were put on the counter and I
put one hand in the hot bowl and one hand in the cold bowl. After three minutes, I removed each hand from the water and put them quickly into
