It seems that whenever one has to make a telephone call to resolve a problem--whether it is the telephone company or the doctors office--one has to get through an array
of what some call "voicemail hell" where no matter what one does, the end result is often a waste of time. One must choose a particular number perhaps and then
they are in for a rough time if they inadvertently choose the wrong number or no number at all. In the past, it was the savvy caller who knew to
press O for an operator even though it did not say. It seems that many companies have gotten wise to the technique and no longer offer that option until one
has already pressed a myriad of buttons and wasted at least ten minutes of their precious time. Even when a problem does get resolved efficiently and effectively, it often takes
an inordinate amount of time to do so. For example, when trying to get a claim straightened out with an insurance company representative, one might be told that their system
is not able to accept the claim in that fashion and because of the firms computer problems, one must resubmit the claim. When something needs to be done, it is
often the consumer who has to do the leg work. Another pet peeve involves people who drive too slow. Although one may drive legally, and not even want to speed,
there are sometimes people on the road who drive so slow that one is likely to miss a train or bus. It is quite annoying also when one is driving
behind one of these slow drivers and they "make the light," only to leave everyone behind them stuck at a red light for a few minutes. It seems that as
