complex and vital part of who we are, as humans, we note that there are many factors which determine how we live as sexual beings, how we act, and what
we think. Whether we know it, or like it, sexuality plays a very big part in our lives. However, one may wonder about the most powerful influences of our sexuality.
There are many theories about human sexuality. For example, are we sexual creatures because biology dictates such a drive for purposes of procreation? Are we sexual in a certain way
because of social influences? Or are we sexual beings because of many psychological factors? The following paper examines the theories of evolutionary (which is clearly linked to biological), sociological, and
psychological theories regarding human sexuality. The paper finishes with a brief discussion of how sociological factors are perhaps the most powerful in determining how we live our lives in relationship
to our sexuality. The Theories In relationship to evolutionary theory, a theory that also involved biological perspectives, we see that as mankind has developed they have learned to
overcome or control their biological urges as they have become more educated and aware. Long ago a man could feel the need to have a sexual relationship and nothing would
stop him from engaging in such behavior. As mankind has become more civilized, so to speak, they have become to be more educated about other requirements. They see social norms
and follow them and thus restrict their inherent needs. They may be afraid, in todays society, about sexually transmitted diseases and curb their inherent desires. As humanity has evolved intellect
