the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another . . . " Hebrews 10:25 The tone of this verse from Hebrews implies a loving friendship, which the
professional psychologist or counselor has been taught is a difficult line to walk. The professional may be trained, or told, that in order to listen authentically to his client;
he must be objective and be wary of developing a less than professional relationship with a client. The client/counselor role is supposedly even more fraught with "danger," if different
genders are involved. Be wary. Be careful. Be cautious. Does that sound as though it is the kind of person that will be comfortable with the passage
from Hebrews? If not, perhaps then we need to start mentally constructing how that "Christian" counselor will look, or what they will act like, and still remain comfortable in
their profession, as well as having the expertise to make sound recommendations to a client. If we read care-fully, or faith-fully, I think we might find a few clues of
conduct in our spiritual text. It would seem that we are being told, to not give up on the client/counselor relationship, if it does not seem to be an
