From the simplest, and perhaps most popular perspective, we look first at the "pop" assumptions concerning the youngest and oldest. According to Teen Magazine the oldest is "the class president,
team captain and valedictorian--all at the same time," they "dont let anything slow" them down and because they are a "trailblazer for others who follow....challenges dont slow" them down (22).
The youngest, on the other hand, is the class clown: "You tend to expect attention--its natural, youve received it all your life! Many youngests, though, feel that theyre not taken
seriously. Youre generally fun-loving--youll be the first to plan a party or grab a bunch of friends to go to the beach" (Teen Magazine 22). According to this "positive
upbeat pop" presentation, the eldest is a fighter who knows how to struggle for what they want. They are responsible and are excellent nurturers: "Its sometimes hard for you to
let others have their way because youre so used to fighting for what you want. You also tend to be organized and the person everyone comes to for the final
word--and you like it that way" (Teen Magazine 22). The youngest is seen in the following: "You hate to be told that youre wrong--your sibs have been saying that for
