This is a 4 page paper discussing the world wide web as a free frontier and not a controlled space. Recent articles which have exposed the introduction of processes in an attempt to control aspects of the world wide web have only demonstrated further that the internet is a medium that not only has been difficult to control in a capitalistic way but in fact remains a free frontier. Businesses which have in fact put into place a process which is meant to control their users actually only leads their users through a pre-selected process. The use of this process however is user controlled as users and companies acknowledge that the users are able to exist at any time and choose another product or page from the millions that are available. The concept of control of the world wide web lessens with each day as it continues to include areas within the global community and also continues to be the new frontier which offers limitless opportunity by all who utilize it.

user and alternatives to those elements which have been capitalized upon. Rather than a sense of control which many people believe has infected the world wide web, it has instead
undergone a limited sense of selection which many people equate with control. This can be found in the environment of the search engines. While users believe they are searching the
entirety of the web when they do a search on Yahoo or EBay, they are in fact searching sites and affiliated databases which have been selected, from a business perspective,
