OF THE WORLD VIEW Contributions to the world during the enlightenment and scientific revolution had such far-reaching and significant social and political influence that their impacts upon life are not
likely to be duplicated in the near future. Indeed, the praise for such progression during these two periods can be placed upon the enlightened thinkers of that era; without
their foresight of what was in store for the future, the world and all of its societies would not benefit from such technology. Introducing such revolutionary concepts as were developed
during the scientific revolution truly transformed the way in which the world operated. So many inventions changed how people lived their lives that it was not difficult to leave
behind the archaic in favor of the new and improved. However, contemporary inventions were not the only influences during that period; rather, there were a substantial expansion of human
rights and basic freedoms due directly to the enlightenment. Both the scientific revolution and the enlightenment period brought about significant "opportunities for education and the renewed value of intellectualism"
(Anonymous, 2002, PG). Sir Isaac Newton was, indeed, one of the most influential contributors to the scientific revolution. His contributions paved the way for a great number of other
inventors to follow, as well as establishing a changing trend in the way the world viewed technological advancement. Newtons 1687 publication of Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy was the
precursor to his three laws of motion. With such insight as to the application of physical mobility, he successfully introduced the world to concepts never before considered. In
