trend is that of growth in most sectors. If we look at one of the sectors; the health and fitness sector, there is an increasing number of health and fitness
clubs in many developed nations and along with this the increasing the provision of spa facilities. The wellness industry is not new,
there have always been products and services that have been purported to be beneficial to wellness, as far back as the Victorian age tobacco was being sold for its medical
properties, and the benefit of holidays and sea air were fashionable to be prescribed by a doctor for increased health. The change
that may be seen is the refection in the way that society perceives the pursuance of wellness as well as the increase in living standards. This has made the idea
of wellness more attractive as not only is there increased disposable funds but an increased desire to live longer and benefit from wellness.
Health and wellness products and services are no longer a product aimed only at the rich, although this is an important market, but are also aimed at the individual
in many different sectors. The lower income families may be aimed at with stores such as Wal-Mart with their discount ranges of
products as well as exercise equipment where as at the top of the profile there may be the individual trainer programmes, and mid market we may have the bread ranging
appeal of companies such as Nike along with the range of budget and upper market health centres, clinics and spas and pay as you go health centre access. Even schools
