of Jews lived in an area called the Warsaw Ghetto and were supposedly just relocated there by the Nazis. When they realized this was not at all the case
and that they were destined for certain death at the camps, they began to form an opposition group and planned an uprising. It is interesting to compare this real life
slice of history with the biblical story of David and Goliath. There are a number of striking similarities which make the 20th century version even more poignant. First,
it is important to understand the basic biblical story which is essentially about good versus evil. David was strong and
brave, and lived in the fields with his animals (The Story of David and Goliath, 2002). He loved his animals and often contemplated how he would be willing to
die for them (The Story of David and Goliath, 2002). He marveled at them and contemplated God and how wonderful He was for his great creations (The Story of
David and Goliath, 2002). Goliath was a huge Giant who often yelled at and threatened King Sauls armies (The Story of David and Goliath, 2002). One day,
when David was witness to Goliaths rantings, David offered to fight the Giant in order to allow victory over the Philistines (The Story of David and Goliath, 2002). David
