improve or maintain. Measurement of assessment can be seen as broad ranging, however, there is little point in using corporate levels
of assessment if there are no smaller measures. There needs to be an understanding of the different parts of an organisation that make up the whole, and how these can
be developed to increase the performance of an organisation overall. If the small components such as measurements of different departments can be increased then the overall performance will be bettered.
To understand this we need to consider what we mean by performance assessment tool, the way that performance assessment is used and implemented, as well as some of the legalities
that may need to be considered when implementing performance assessments. I. Definition There are many definitions, of these types of tools. In
this paper we will focus on the people orientated appraisal techniques and tools, however, we need to remember that any process may be measured and assessed. In defining what is
