benchmarking (Keys 1998). Total Quality Management system assumes a primary objective is to enhance quality through customer satisfaction and statistical control of organisational systems and processes. This is true in
manufacturing, service and non profit organizations. By looking at each we can see how TQM has played a role in the move for customer-driven quality.
