philosophical issues and the Constitution was no different in that regard. While the founding fathers of this country indeed agreed on freedom, the specifics of that freedom as well
as the design of this new government was cause for serious debate. In fact, some even refused to sign the Constitution based on those debates. Yet, in the end,
it is clear that the Constitution has endured the years, endured attacks, and endured opposition. It remains the foundation of this country and the cornerstone of the freedoms we
enjoy as Americans. Why the Constitution Was Created At the time the Constitution was created, the country was indeed in
turmoil and the government was erratic and chaotic (U.S. Constitution: Background and Preamble, 2002). There needed to be a solid, unifying standard (U.S. Constitution: Background and Preamble, 2002).
