in" this reflects the approach taken by Starbucks and the way payment is seen in an holistic manner and as a way that Starbucks want to separate itself from the
competition in the eyes of the employees (Melcrum, 2005). The compensation scheme is called "Your Special Blend" and is referred to as a total pay package (Starbucks, 2006). The generous
offerings include stock options and discounts on stock purchases, healthcare, savings and rewards of different types (Starbucks, 2006). In Starbucks the employees are called partners and are treated in
