war. Yet, throughout the centuries, and even throughout the past several decades, things have changed. The Gulf War for examples was the first televised war. This signified a significant change
since World War II. Although people did see bombs being dropped during the 1991 Gulf War on television screens, the war that would occur after 9/11 was one where soldiers
were interviewed and got a chance to wave to their families. This is something that never occurred before. In the past, one would wave goodbye to their loved ones and
barely have contact with them. The occasional letter would suffice as a means of communication, and while today, communications are much more advanced than that, it seems rather odd to
have embedded reporting and news programs right in the middle of battlefields. Many remember the days of Vietnam, long before television crews would "plotz" their equipment down on the
fields, but they also remember the media then. The media would report relentlessly on the body bags coming beck from Vietnam. In many ways, Vietnam was a turning point for
the country in terms of attitude, but within the purview of the Vietnam War was the Tet Offensive. Some might say that the action was the straw that broke the
Camels back. In fact, not only was it a turning point for the Vietnam conflict, but if one sees the conflict as something of an escalation, after the Tet Offensive,
things were on a marked decline. The Tet Offensive was a campaign that would mark a decisive change in the conduct of warfare. It was a significant turning point
