not able to create beyond himself, one has to delve into the Zarathustra. Purportedly, and contrary to the original position, it is shown that the last man can go
beyond himself. First, what is the last man and what does it have to do with anything? The last man is representative of the historical viewpoint and that this
view of the Last Man produces the flattest disposition of the soul (De Krnjevic-Miskovic, 2002). In Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Nietzsche explains who man is and what he may become
and that Zarathustra proclaims that God is dead! (Wahl, 2002). The relevance of this is that the traditional moral code that has kept man from straying is no
longer present and needs to be replaced (2002). This is an important concept. Many people believe that the only reason the world is moral is because people live in fear
of God. Without God, there would be chaos. Hence, Nietzsches claim that God is dead is meaningful. The Prologue of Zarathustra begins as follows: "When Zarathustra was thirty
years old, he left his home and the lake of his home, and went into the mountains. There he enjoyed his spirit and his solitude, and for ten years did
not weary of it. But finally he had a change of heart - and rising one morning with the dawn, he went before the sun, and spoke thus to it:
