representative example. The Seven Signs are reported in Chapters 2 through 11. Each is significant in a different way. 1. This was our Lords first miracle, which he performed at
his mothers request. The host of a wedding banquet in Cana ran out of wine, Jesus turned the water in six stone jars into wine (John 2:1-11). This was not
the only miracle related to nature Jesus performed, He calmed the seas. This sign, changing one substance into another, demonstrates that Jesus is Lord over everything in nature (Norris). Another
way to say this succinctly is "Jesus is Lord over Creation" (Crossroads Bible Institute 2004). 2. Jesus healed the son of a royal official in Cana (John 4:43-53). The official
approached Jesus asking Him to go to their home because his son was dying. It is at this time that Jesus chastises the people for needing to see something before
they believed it (John 5:48). Jesus is demonstrating that He is Lord over life, nothing is beyond His command (Norris). The message to us is that Jesus wants us to
have faith in Him because He "is Lord over space & time" (Crossroads Bible Institute 2004). 3. The third sign John reports is the healing of a man at the
pool at Sheep Gate in Jerusalem (John 5:1-15). The man was paralyzed and could not even get into the healing pool. Jesus commands the man to "Get up! Pick up
