which constructivist theory is employed. For example, Dougiamas (2001) looks at the ways in which the definition of the real world can be seen to depend on the extent of
interpretation of external data, and how far the self is responsible for the development of what is perceived as external reality. Von Glaserfeld
(1990) points out that the acquisition of knowledge by the self is a dynamic process of interaction between the knower and the way in which he interprets experience, and according
to the validity of the interpretations the world which is constructed is a more or less accurate portrayal of what could be construed as external reality. Consequently, although the existence
of an objective reality is not denied, it is open to the development of different subjective constructs since each one who experiences objective reality which alter and amend their constructs
of reality according to circumstances. When changes in events or other external constraints hinder the progression of these subjective constructs, they can then be amended in order to present a

asserts that it is this infinite variety of constructs which allows for the juxtaposition of and interaction between the hugely diverse range of differing and equally viable world views which
are the social constructs of individual selves. Hardy and Taylor (1997) point out, also, that there is even between several different
