This revolution came about as a result of excessively oppressive factors at that time. Namely, the peasants had land which they worked and were supposed to pay for but
were unable to due to the massive workers strikes, the massive famine and economic disaster, and many other factors as well. The people were literally so poor they were
starving to death and were unable to feed their families. Here they were working land they couldnt even afford the taxes for and yet were expected to pay.
In addition, the Czar, Nicholas had little regard for their plight. In fact, in the midst of his overspending and involvement in the Russo-Japanese War, he very much underestimated
the power of the peasants and their growing discontent. As time passed and conditions worsened, the people continued to get less and less tolerant of the regime of
the Czar Nicholas. His reign was very much in danger as opposition within Russia grew. It wasnt long before nearly everyone in the country was an opposition member
