and her novel The Rosewood Casket. The Rosewood Casket by Sharyn McCrumb "Sharyn McCrumb was born in 1948 in Appalachia" (Who Dunnit). She comes from a long line
of Soctch-Irish ancestors in the region and is quite familiar with the terrain she often writes about (Who Dunnit). In 1985 she received her M.A., in English, from Virginia Tech
(Who Dunnit). She "has taught journalism and Appalachian studies at Virginia Tech; she was also a newspaper reporter until deciding to devote most of her time to writing in 1988,
plus traveling the lecture circuit" (Who Dunnit). Apparently there are many universities around the world that have requested her to come speak, such as Oxford University and the American Library
of Berlin (Who Dunnit). Primarily she has written about the Appalachia region but she has also written some science fiction and what is called the Elizabeth McPherson series. This
particular series follows the events of a woman who is a forensic anthropologist (Who Dunnit). She has also won many literary awards such as the Most Notable Book of the
Year and the Best Appalachian Novel (Who Dunnit). She has also received the Edgar, Nero, Agatha, Anthony and Macavity awards (Who Dunnit).
This particular book is about a man who is in a coma and is dying. The events that surround him involve his children, the mystery of bones handed over by
