business? If not, is there a lingering prejudice? Unlike in the United States, there is no international law that mandates things aligned with affirmative action type programs. Women have had
to earn their right to participate in international business and while they succeed to some extent, it seems as if their male competitors do better. Women have made great
strides in the workforce over the past few decades, but have they come so far as to play a significant role in international management? What are the roles of women
in international management? Van der Boon (2003) examines the attitude that European women cannot easily access opportunities in Asia due to the fact that women are generally excluded in these
nations. The author claims that European women do a better job than men in Asian nations due to the fact that their empathetic skills are valued in that region (Boon,
