television series that focused on the Innocence Project, which depicted a team that uncovers new evidence when it is thought that someone sits on death row for the wrong reasons.
Indeed, witnesses lie, police do shoddy work and juries make mistakes. In one case, a mother was convicted of killing her own child while he slept, purportedly because she was
involved in a custody battle with her husband. The prosecutor never came up with a theory as to what happened that night, only that there was no one else who
could have done the deed. Julie Rae Harper, with a local attorney in tow, would be easily convicted, but then, a serial murderer began to talk about his exploits. As
it turns out, there had been speculation that perhaps Tommy Lynn Sells murdered Julies son, Joel Kirkpatrick. While theories would come to the surface, it would not be until a
