if they can afford to go out for a night or how much they will get for working and how they will spend it. The cons[et for a company is
the same, to look at what is coming in and what is going out. The dictionary defines budgeting as " An itemized summary of estimated or intended expenditures for a
given period along with proposals for financing them" (Dictionary.com, 2004). This indicates the way in which this confectionary company may be able to use a budget as it is
both a plan and a forecast. The company are assumed to be developing the plans to launch the confectionary in order to
make a profit and projections that have been made are likely to look at the range as a whole and how they will be sold together. Budgeting is a tool
that may help the company ensure the profit is not only made but maximised. When projections are made it is easy for some factors t be missed out or
estimates to be made which are unrealistic Budgeting may help rectify any mistakes and also give a great deal more detail to the understanding of where money will be going.
Budgeting can take into account the capital requirements and the ongoing cash flow situation. If we consider the situation of Page Ltd they may need to make capital investments
and want a return as quickly as possible. However, the return for each range may not be understood. Budgeting can calculate the return that may be expected for each range.
