rights or lack of rights concerning the abortion of their child. Unfortunately, the fathers of unborn children have no say in whether or not the mother of their child has
an abortion or not. The following paper examines the issues, legal and otherwise, and supports the idea that men should have a right to argue the cause for their unborn
children. The Rights of Fathers and Abortion First and foremost it should be noted that the student requesting this paper has asked that the paper argue how men
have rights regarding abortion decisions but that cannot be argued because it is not the case. Men do not have any legal rights to protect their unborn children. With that
in mind the paper will address what rights men should have in these regards. In examining this issue we first look at the legal rights concerning abortion. Abortion was
first allowed based on a couples right to privacy. This later became a legal issue wherein a couple need not be involved, with the woman having no legal obligation to
tell her partner she was getting and abortion. That has been the legal situation since. Men have no legal rights in relationship to their unborn children. One author notes
that, "Countless men are faced with the nightmare of having no voice in the abortion of their child. Since Roe v. Wade, the courts have upheld the right of women
