theory and practice of media, which runs the gamut from close associations to distant impressions only. The relationship between media
theory and practice is important because it provides insight into not only why a practice is integrated, but provides a foundation for future practices as well. We understand particular
concepts and have produced new technologies and data largely based upon past theoretical research and evaluation. Understanding this relationship then
between media theory and practice provides a firm foundation upon which to assess the media, their influence and their competency. Assessment of specific media theories and their practical counterparts
