persons should together control the conditions of their own association" (p. 18). With this in mind, the student can readily surmise how this symbiotic relationship of capitalist democracy is
based upon the otherwise opposing tenets of elitism versus the disadvantaged lower classes in its quest to uphold the disproportionate distribution of wealth so inherent to such a relationship.
