Peace prize by the sitting president. The story is sigifninct, and important, because anything related to the presidency is. There are myriad sources, but they consist of quotes from people
in the Republican and Democrat parties. While geared for the general public, the audience for Fox is largely conservative and clearly, this was the slant of this piece. The piece
is memorable because it contains many disparaging remarks from those in government. The story is connected to many different people in government as well as people in general such as
Governor Tim Kaine, Erick Erickson and Gresham Barrett (" Obamas Peace Prize Draws Criticism, Even From Some Liberals," 2009). The story matters because it is about the president and it
is also about the relevance of the peace prize. Another article about the same topic comes from MSNBC and is entitled " Nobel Peace Prize jury defends Obama decision"
which provides a completely different slant. Again, this is a significant story, but when information is provided by Fox on this very same story, it is all about criticism. When
MSNBC reports about it, the network focuses on the fact that the criticism is unwarranted and does not provide numerous inflammatory quotes. The Evidence to come from the MSNBC piece
is from the committee that awards the prize while evidence from Fox is largely people criticizing the move. The evidence from the MSNBC piece is more substantial because it is
about the reason why the committee made the decision. Fox simply created a hodge podge of criticisms where random people would make negative comments. Fox did not provide enough evidence
that Obama did not deserve the prize. Authors never say exactly why this is the case. They only quote others. For example, in the Fox piece, one critic believes Obama
