of furniture. 1. Environmental influences The influence of the environment will include the economic conditions, current and perceived further condition, the cost of money and the supply conditions as well
as issues such as regulatory changes and competitive developments. An important influence here is the economy and the impact that this has on the disposable income of the purchaser,
where there is a good current income and this is expected to continue it will make purchasing new furniture easier. If there are no concerns then furniture may be considered
that has a higher price tag, but may last longer, making a saving in the long term. This may include metal and cloth chairs, where issues such as comfort are
considered as well as the primary function of providing seats. Where there are poor economic conditions or the economy is expect to deteriorate and impact on the disposable income
the purchase decision may change, furniture may be made to last longer as this will delay the need to make expenditure, where it is made, there may be a narrower
band of requirements, with the more optional aspects forgotten. For example, price will become more important and shorter term solutions may be favoured. It is also possible this will impact
on the way the purchase is made, looking at leasing rather than buying. The cost of money may also be important. For example, if the current economic position is harsh,
but is expected to get better then the purchase may be funded with a loan, alternatively is interest rates are cheap and the organisation want to take advantage of low
