Muslims to follow by example. The teachings of the Prophet Muhammad are intrinsic to the religion of Islam and the Prophet was a man with a message of peace
and unity. The Prophet Muhammads basic message was one of social reform, and to that end he did indeed make
progress. It is therefore important to know something of the Prophet as well as of Islam in order to understand the significance of this impact.
There is no better way to gauge the impact of a particular life than to measure how that life has impacted individuals. When one realizes
the extent to which Islam is in fact a part of the everyday lives of Muslims all around the world, then the impact of the Prophet Muhammad can be better
realized. In this way then, the Prophet Muhammad can be understood to be exceptionally influential due to his ability to
literally transform the lives of individuals for generations upon generations. There are few people in the world who can claim such influence and indeed the Prophet Muhammad is among
this select few. The Prophet Muhamed and Social Reform The word Islam itself means both "peace" and "submission to the will of
