very much resisted in the country. Never-the-less, the Obama administration has pledged to revamp our health care system so as to make it accessible to all Americans irrespective
of their ability to pay. Furthermore, there is a very high possibility that the health care system implemented by the Obama Administration will feature a not-for-profit health care insurance
(Lothian, 2009). Many Americans, however, feel that there should also be an option for private insurance coverage, i.e a private option. There is no questioning the fact that
there is considerable room for improvement in our existing health care system. An astounding percentage of our nations populace does not have adequate health care. Unfortunately, healthcare is
too often doled out in accordance with ones relative societal standing. The less fortunate in our society are not always one of the recipients. While we have programs
in place that provide free health care to many of our nations underprivileged, others fall through the cracks. Universal health care should, however, rightly be viewed as a needed
societal infrastructure. This is particularly true when we consider the costs of unchecked disease, lost days at work, and lost productivity overall. We should insure that everyone in
our society not only has access to but the ability to pay for adequate healthcare. Unfortunately, health car in the US is riddled with a complexity of ideological
and conceptual considerations. Obviously, only a few individuals have the luxury of being so wealthy that they can buy whatever it is that they want or need. Never-the-less,
it seems that the wealthy do have access to the best in terms of healthcare. There are numerous other echelons of society, however, that receive healthcare in somewhat diminished
