an intense cover-up which includes doctors who treated the president. There had been rumors at the time that President Kennedy was really not dead, but was a vegetable. While many
rumors have been laid to rest, the conspiracy theories about the JFK assassination have not, and are in fact stronger than ever. While many theories have surfaced relating to
mob ties, Kennedys many mistresses and even to President Johnson, the facts seem to show that a single bullet entered and exited Kennedys throat and then went on to hit
Connally. While that is the story most told, ballistics experts have argued that the single-bullet theory raises more questions about the assassination of John F. Kennedy than it
answers. The problem is that if there was a single bullet, there are unexplained events, evidence--like tears in the clothing--that leave one to be suspicious. While the circumstances are suspicious
and many people believe there had been a conspiracy, that does not negate the lone gunman theory. That said, a lone gunman could have done the deed with a single
bullet. In fact, Thomas Canning, a NASA scientist who studied the Single Bullet trajectory in conjunction with the House Select Committee on Assassinations, used the Betzner photograph to
establish a line to the right of Connally that could not have been accurate ("The JFK," 2002). He also estimated the rotation of Connallys torso, which he accomplished from
the Zapruder film, and the result seems to be an alignment that demonstrated the bullet leaving Kennedys throat which struck Connally in the back near the shoulder (2002). That is
