was very committed to his office and to the people of this country, and his accomplishments reveal his ability to effectively institute change where it was needed.
The thing which is so impressive about Roosevelt was his ability to stick so close to such moral ideals and agenda while also securing
the admiration and devotion of the American public. Despite drawing a very hard line in the sand, the people loved him and believed in him. They valued his
ability to make decisions which were morally based and which brought a definite sense of ethics to the job of decision making in government.
It is for these reasons then that I would rate this president as a five. He was able to stick with his ideals and was able
to institute that which he believed was right and wrong. It is indeed rare to find a politician who is able to maintain such a high ethical standard, and
in this day and age it is even more notable to come across such an inspirational man. Roosevelt and The New Nationalism What
was perhaps so impressive about Roosevelt is his willingness to introduce morality into the decision making process with which he was confronted (Teddy Roosevelt, 2002). He didnt simply just
rely upon the exact word of the law, but demanded that ethics and morality also be considered (Teddy Roosevelt, 2002). He is known for "extending" the reach of the
government and perhaps stretching it to suit his purposes, but the truth was that the American people largely backed him and appreciated his efforts to moralize government (Teddy Roosevelt, 2002).
