are several important characteristics of work teams that determine whether or not the team will be effective; some of the ingredients seem to be shared goals and an urgency of purpose (Nemiro, Beyerlein, Bradley & Beyerlein, 2008). In Jill Nemiros book Creativity in Virtual Teams, she relays the concept that creativity in virtual teams arise in respect to five factors, which are design, climate, resources, norms, protocols, continued assessment and learning (Livermore, 2006). Bonding and interpersonal communication are examples of things that are helpful in creating productive and creative teams (Nemiro, 2004). In examining the work of Nemiro, it is important to understand that teams are quite relevant in todays business world. Teams are found in many corporations as well as in non-profit organizations. They are frequently discovered in hospitals and schools. Whenever surgery is scheduled, a team of doctors and nurses gather to each provide their expertise to effect a positive outcome in respect to the patients health. In schools, teachers collaborate to also effect an equitable and desirable learning outcome. When it comes to team dynamics, it is important to see that everyone gets along, or at least there should be an attempt made to create a successful team in spite of problems. That point is obvious. What Nemiro and her colleagues have come up with are ways for teams to be creative, something that is sorely lacking today. Without creativity, brilliance will never be achieved. It is not that creativity is not found in many teams today. Creativity is rampant.
