is hard to separate myths that people create from real life, but in other cases it is easier. In any event, in looking at Star Wars, many questions arise. What
is the myth and what is its origin? The fascination with Star Wars is relevant to a host of factors that reflect where American culture is in respect
to the turn of the millennium, according to Professor Herron (Wood, 1999). He notes that America needs heroes and it also has the desire for a hopeful future (1999). The
myth of a galaxy that is far away helps to jump-start a spiritual search that one can embrace in their own way (1999). The myth of course includes alien life
in those galaxies and in a very broad sense, the myth is really about aliens. If in fact the Star Wars myth were true, and there was a galaxy far
away, would lives be changed? How might one live differently if in fact this myth was something that one embraces as reality? First, it should be noted that the Star
Wars myth is also exemplified in other films like K-Pax where an alien who is from the planet K-Pax seems to have a great deal of wisdom. On his planet
there is no need for laws because everyone just does the right thing. It is thought that humans are lower on the evolutionary scale and the planet is in an
early stage where its fate is unknown. K-Pax is more sophisticated and one can glean a number of notions from this myth just as one can from the Star Wars
