Nation, 2002). It was an explicitly racist movie but yet was also considered a masterpiece (Review of The Birth of a Nation, 2002). D.W. Griffith both produced and
directed this much talked-about film which once carried the title of The Clansman but that title was quickly changed (Review of The Birth of a Nation, 2002). "Unbelievably, the
film is still used today as a recruitment piece for Klan membership" (Review of The Birth of a Nation, 2002). Even more controversy surrounded this film when, in 1993,
