or film really reaches it audience, the audience members come together in a communal experience that celebrates the efforts of everyone who worked on the project. This paper discusses some
aspects of the performing arts. Discussion Creator, performer, audience member: The creative process is unique to each individual. When a person has such a powerful vision that they are compelled
to create a play, a film, a dance, music or performance art, that effort should be respected. Most people go through life without the ability to create a performance. The
student at this point will need to put in any information about something he or she has done, perhaps a story theyve written. The point is that its important to
nurture creativity, and today many schools are dropping arts from their curriculum; this is a great loss to students and to society. Performing is a fantastic experience, especially when it
"works." That is, when the performer can get beyond the stage fright and worry about the lines, and actually create a character that exists in that moment on stage, it
is a very powerful experience. A play in which the actors are really existing as their characters is magical. Part of that magic comes from the audience members, who are
willing to go along with the illusion that they are watching real life, not acting. When the actors and audience work together to sustain the illusion, it becomes an experience
