Essay / Research Paper Abstract

While the intent of the Patriot Act is clear and forthright in its quest to preserve the country's safety against post-911 terrorist attacks, it reaches much further into the grey area of constitutional infringement than anything that has come before; as such, citizens are not as readily willing to hand over their personal freedoms in the name of national security even though it may cause greater national vulnerability.
