this paper properly! In examining Aristotles astronomy, cosmology, and theories of nature, some of his concepts were simply responses to certain earlier philosophical systems. Some of
these were in fact directly related to his mentor, Platos contributions. In some instances, Aristotle changed and actually corrected earlier errors and at other times he filled a void and
went where philosophy had not dared. While to a great extent Aristotle presented original works, there is only so much one can create and not have it related to
other theories. However, Aristotle did delve into uncharted territory and at times made quite original contributions to philosophy. Aristotle in his views on metaphysics clearly rejected Platos Theory of Forms
(Honderich 556). Of course metaphysical thinking originated long before Aristotle walked the Earth. For example, Presocratic writings were metaphysical in character (556). In studying metaphysics, astronomy, cosmology and nature, one
is drawn to Aristotle who created a new paradigm, drawing on older theorists works and in some cases revising them. In metaphysics for example, although the term was not
coined until Aristotle contributed to it, the concepts were there in the past. Thus, in such concerns, one might say that Aristotle did revise earlier data to an extent. At
the same time, the term was coined to denote the works of Aristotle exclusively (Honderich 556). Clearly, Aristotle opposed Platos views on many matters involved in such physics and so,
one could also say that, regrading metaphysics, Aristotle was unique indeed. While Aristotle truly took a scientific approach, he was above all a philosopher. His ideas were tied to
