During the George W. Bush administration, the Democrats continuously criticized the administrations foreign policies. Today, they have to make many decisions regarding their own foreign policies. One of
the first tests has come and went with North Koreas recent fiasco involving a suspected armed missile. The Obama administration simply sat by and allowed North Korea to shoot
an object into space that could have marked the beginning of a nuclear war. North Korea does indeed present a quagmire
of concerns for the Obama administration. Fortunately, North Koreas most recent blatant disregard for world concern did not turn out to be as disastrous as it could have been
but this was just North Koreas means of testing the new administration to see just what they would do in such a situation. There will undoubtedly be many more
tests to come. During his campaign Obama essentially dismissed North Korea as a small country with no real threat to the US. He is soon to learn that
