the land and move frequently. They were wanderers. They had no place to call home. Of course, without agriculture, there would be no reason to stay in one place. Food
had to be hunted down, and this would be accomplished through moving and seeking out new areas where the hunt would be lucrative. However, things would change with the introduction
of the Neolithic Revolution, something that saw nomads become farmers (Girardet, 1996). This revolution was responsible for changing the way man lived for quite some time. When human beings began
to manage land, this was something new and soon, humans would dominate (Girardet, 1996). Prior to this change, one can imagine that the animals were plentiful and lived by their
own design as they do today. Animals live by instinct and they have their own peculiar habits. Human beings today enjoy a social structure that has been fabricated over the
course of years. Yet, prior to the Neolithic revolution, human life was not predictable. Permanent villages would begin to rise only after agriculture would become the norm (Girardet, 1996). It
meant that human beings could rely on the crops for sustenance, at least to some extent, and this motivated people to stay in one place. After all, it would take
some time for the plants to grow. Agriculture relies on seasons and weather related events. In order to grow crops, man would have to wait for a time when the
seeds would become vegetables. There are many characteristics of early villages that they share with one another. Yet, some villages are distinct in their own right. An example of something
characteristic of Chinese villages during the period is that the early settlers lived in round huts with reed roofs (Sullivan, 1999). The floors were made of plaster (Sullivan, 1999). There
