an unreasonable manner. Perception is important when understanding what is going on in ones life and it is important in comprehending the human condition. Perception may account for flaws in
thinking. Logic, on the other hand, is something that helps man cope with his different points of view and while the two ideas are very different, they compliment each other
well. When comparing and contrasting the two concepts, logic might be too cold a phenomenon alone while perception is simply too subjective. First, what is logic and when is it
used? The history of logic begins with Aristotle, the first thinker to create a logical system (Honderich, 1995). Most people are familiar with the idea of logic where in
philosophy there are statements and proofs that things are what they are. For example, there are proofs that God exists, or statements that seem to render it so. One begins
with a definition such as God is omnipotent, omniscient and so forth and ends with his existence being related to perfection. Logic is a tool that is used to explain
things in a reasonable fashion. Interestingly, while that is the case, logic only allows people to reason, but does not provide definite conclusions. Most logical claims can be refuted. Thus,
logic in some way is not much better than perception. At least, one can say that ones perception leads them to certain logical conclusions. Still, logic is much more organized
and less subjective. Throughout the centuries, there had been the use of logical thinking and while one can use reason to prove things, there are always fallacies. There are always
problems with perception. Many are familiar with the problems that perception brings. A woman may logically decide to get a divorce because her husband is abusive, but then she reasons
