Essay / Research Paper Abstract
7 pages in length. All things may be perceived in terms relative to each other; without light and dark there would be nothing by which to judge one's own subjective perspectives. Correspondingly, time is the administrator of all existence; it is with this immense thought that one can readily associate logic with the notion of perception and awareness. The role and expression of these concepts may give the appearance of being abstract and unrelated to the realism that surrounds the ability to see an incident as it truly exists; however, this is a basic premise that is very subjective, inasmuch as we can only answer to our own ideas of realism. may also perceive the world "cleanly and directly, seeing things for what they are in moments of illuminating vision" (Anonymous, 2001). Either way, mans consciousness, awareness and understanding are
what dictate perception, which represents "a choice, where we may intend our manner of interaction with the world, ourselves, and others. Our perceptual capacities are not fixed; they are
not static or one-dimensional. Rather, they grow and expand in relation to our own efforts and our quality of attention" (Anonymous, 2001). The senses are most attuned when
time is involved, with a brief moment remembered for a longer duration than if it is the same moment spread over a longer period of time, which serves to dilute
the effectiveness of presence and the experiences intensity. With the sensation of permanence there exists a lack of stimuli delivered by the moments fleeting presence, in that it fails
