the National Wildlife Federation. The National Wildlife Federation One of the most important things to the National Wildlife Federation is educating people about being aware of their
environment. It is their mission to educate so that people can make a difference, even if it is only in their own backyard as they invite wildlife into their yards.
The president of the federation, in offering a look at the mission of the organization, discusses a small little creek that is called Tyler Creek. It was not considered to
be an actual waterway, but rather a drain, and thus was not protected by the laws. He named his son Tyler after this creek and states, "Only God could make
Tyler Creek. One uncaring person could destroy it. All I could do was remember it by giving its name to a son and by vowing to do something to bring
balance to laws that valued private interests so much more than our common heritage" (The National Wildlife Federation, 2003). "Founded in 1936 by editorial cartoonist J.N. Ding Darling, the
